Speed up Apache Wave In A Box development

My name is Kirill Kostyuchenko and my company is actively using Google Wave.
In early December I looked through the Apache WIAB[1] commits list and concluded that the development progress rate is insufficient to get a fully functional Google Wave replacement by 1 February 2012.

It is not clear to me why Google specified that date. I kindly asked Google to keep Wave working until the moment when Apache WIAB would be usable enough to replace it.

In this regard I hired Andrew Kaplanov as a full time employee to develop Apache WIAB to some state when it could be used as a Google Wave replacement for my company.

I expect many people wish to have a usable Apache WIAB and I'm going to coordinate developers to get a working Google Wave replacement as soon as possible.

All donations collected at this site will be used only to Apache WIAB development and we will submit all patches to the Apache Wave main tree. I will publish the total collected amount, individual donations list, all expenditures and development news.
If we can collect enough funds I'll try to allow most active Apache WIAB commiters to work on Apache WIAB full time.
